Vehicle lifting gang nabbed

HYDERABAD: The Dabeerpura police on Friday nabbed three members of a vehicle lifting gang and recovered eight two-wheelers and scooters from their possession.
Mirchowk ACP G Nageswar Rao identified the three persons as Vinod Kumar, 19, a rickshaw puller and resident of Puranapul, G Sainath, 19, a worker in a hardware shop at Gawliguda, and Bhanu Chander, 18, a painter who resides in Maharajgunj.The police also arrested Mohd Zakiuddin, 22, a scrap dealer and resident of Rein Bazar, for aiding the gang by buying the stolen vehicles.
The police said the three accused were addicted to alcohol and took to robbery to keep up a lavish lifestyle.
