3 arrested for smuggling liquor & drugs in Madhya Pradesh

INDORE: Kotwali police have arrested three persons in two cases of illegal transportation and possession of liquor and drugs in Mandsaur.
Kotwali police station in-charge Amit Soni said a driver was arrested and a truck loaded with 430 containers of illegal foreign liquor worth Rs 37.42 lakh was seized. The truck was heading towards Gujarat from Punjab.The driver, Mohan Bishnoi, was arrested following a check on a highway.
In another case, two persons were arrested with 300 gram MD drugs worth Rs 30 lakh, police said.
The police have also seized a two-wheeler from them. They were transporting the drug to Pratapgarh in Rajasthan,
Soni said, “Acting on a tip off from an informer checking on Mandsaur-Pratapgarh road was started. During the checking, two suspicious youngsters riding on a bike with a broken number plate was found. They were stopped and during inspection the drug was recovered.”
The accused, Sharif Khan, 20 and Mohanlal Pilodia, 23 were produced before court from where they were sent in police remand till March 28. Both of them are residents of Rajasthan, he added.
