Attack on farmer: Ex BJP leader’s son booked

UJJAIN: Son of a former BJP MLA and four others were, on Thursday, booked for attack on a woman farmer.
Police said Kalabai along with her husband Shambulal patidar, was engaged in sowing work at her farm in village Rupeta under Nagda police station limits, when Narendra Ranawat, son of former MLA Lalsingh Ranawat, former corporator Pappu sharma and three others attacked the duo with sharp-edge weapons.
Sources said the accused were involved in dispute regarding an agriculture land with the duo. The injured were taken to a local government hospital. Later, Kalabai, who remains critical, was rushed to a hospital in Ujjain.
Nagda police have registered a case under Section 307 of IPC. The accused are yet to be arrested.
