He claimed that he found a number while searching for finance companies on the internet that could give him the loan, and when he called on the number, an unidentified man, who posed as an official with a finance firm, agreed to give him the loan.
The fraudster later asked him to make some payments as service charge for getting his loan approved and sanctioned. The victim believed him and transferred the money into different bank accounts, said officials.
They said that the fraudsters kept calling him through different numbers, and asked him to make the payments as part of a process for his loan.
The victim however later realized that he was being cheated, and by that time, the victim had already paid Rs21 lakh.
