Cops find newspapers’ with articles marked in Chetan Saini's room
JAIPUR: The police investigating the mysterious death of 40-year-old Chetan Saini on Tuesday said that none of his family members have cited any dispute or animosity with anybody in the past. Police have also recovered some newspaper clippings that had write-ups varying from gemstone designing to ‘Padmavati’ film.
Senior police officers investigating the case said that they were probing every angle into the film and so far they have recovered a few things from Chetan’s room .

“He was very fond of reading and writing and was also learning English. We have got a few newspapers in which Chetan had marked some articles on various subjects including articles on the controversial film ‘Padmavati’,” said a senior officer investigating the case.
Police said that though the family members have asked police to probe murder angle they have not been able to quote any recent incident in which Chetan had any confrontation or scuffle with anyone or he had any rivalry or animosity.
“He was a very introvert person who never discussed his problems. The family members including wife have not been able to recall any incident which can put suspicion on some person or group of persons,” the officer added.
In another development retailers selling nylon rope have dumped it fearing police action. “We have visited almost 300 shops across the Walled City that usually sell nylon ropes and it appears all of them have dumped it, fearing police probe,” the officer added.
However, till Tuesday evening the police had not given the FSL samples to the lab. On being asked about the delay, Satendra Singh, deputy commissioner of police (North) said, “The incident was witnessed on Friday and thereafter the lab remained closed on Saturday and Sunday. Usually these things are sent by the approval of DCP concerned with their covering letter. So, it is a routine process and it takes time.”
