AJMER: Police on Thursday arrested a youth for hate speech and planning to protest against the
Pakistan delegation coming to attend the annual Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisty. Police came to know that the accused was planning to gather other youths for the protest.
According to police, Rishab Tak, 22, a resident of Ramganj, was arrested for spreading religious hate on social media.
Police came to know that Tak made an appeal to youths of Ajmer and asked them to gather at Bad Balaji Temple on Beawar road for the stir.
Acting on the information posted by Tak on social media, police reached the spot at the time stated in the social post. Police found that no one came to the spot and Rishab was alone and he was arrested. Ramganj police said they are investigating if others were involved in his plan.

Mohan Sharma on Thursday took the meeting of district peace committee considering the communal riots in Delhi. Thousands of devotees visit Ajmer during the annual Urs and an appeal was made to maintain peace. Security has been beefed up to avoid any attempt to disturb communal peace as the Pakistani delegation is also reaching Ajmer. “The major task for the administration is that Holi is also fast approaching and therefore this is the time when anti-social elements can disturb peace,” an official said.
