Hundreds of devotees come to temple every year.
The devotees thronging this temple are ardent believers that whatever is wished from Mata Chhinmasta comes true. This increases the faith of the people both in the goddess and the temple. The Chhinmasta temple was established in 1868 by Guru Prasad Shukla.
Meanwhile, rush of devotees was witnessed at Kali Mathaiya temple in Shastri Nagar, where a large number of women also arrived to worship Maa Kali. Religious hymns were sung and devotees kept on chanting `Jai Mata ki'.
The temple priest said that the Kala Mathaiya temple is over 250 years old. The seventh incarnation of Maa Durga known as Maa Kali is here to bless her children who come to the temple with faith.
The devotees offer prasad to Maa Kali before proceeding ahead. "When we come to this temple, we offer coconut, flowers, fruits etc and the goddess blesses all her children," said a devotee.
