KN Titans beat Golden Sporting, win cricket match by six runs

Kanpur: Randheer Singh’s fine performance with bat and ball (54 runs and 3 wickets) helped KN Titans beat Golden Sporting by 6 runs in a thrilling semi final by 6 runs and sailed into the final of KC Awasthi memorial cricket tournament being played here at HAL ground on Monday. KN Titans batting first posted a total of 197 runs in 35 overs. Randheer Singh and Yashveer Singh were main scorers and they contributed 54 and unbeaten 55 runs respectively.Shivam Shukla picked 2 wickets for 45 runs. Golden Sporting in reply missed the winning target by just 6 runs as their innings finished on 191 runs. Piyush Nath and Aditya Pathak both chipped 44 runs each. Randheer Singh was the main destroyer as he captured 3 wickets for 25 runs.

Under –14 cricket: Vishesh Agnihotri’s fine knock of 128 runs helped GTB Warriors beat Spark International by 8 runs in Deeba Naseem Khan memorial under – 14 cricket championship being played here at Kanpur South ground on Monday. Batting first at B ground GTB Warriors collected 220 runs. Vishesh Agnihotri was their main scorer. Besides him Yuvraj Singh scored 44 runs. Madhav Gupta bagged 5 wickets for 20 runs. Spark International in response scored 212 runs in stipulated 35 overs. Tejas Nigam and Dev Dubey hit 75 and 37 runs respectively. Rajveer Singh and Vikas Pathak both picked 2 wickets each. Rachit Finance in another match drubbed Crazy Rangers by 8 wickets. The winners wrapped the innings of Crazy Rangers on mere 61 runs in 19.2 overs. Thereafter they hit 62 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.
