Adv VR Patil elected new prez of Kolhapur District Bar Council
Kolhapur: Advocate VR Patil was elected president for Kolhapur District Bar Council on Saturday. In a three-way fight, Adv Patil's panel won nine out of fifteen seats.
Six seats were won by the panel represented by Adv Anandrao Jadhav who was elected Secretary. Adv Satish Kunkekar's panel didn't win any seat.
The polling on Saturday saw a voter turnout of 76%. Sixty council employees conducted the voting process. As the chief election decision officer, Adv Subhash Pisal handled the role of chief election returning officer and Adv P J Pawar and B M Shastri acted as assistant election returning officers.
Counting of votes began after 7pm on Saturday. Adv V R Patil secured 976 votes followed by Adv Anandrao Jadhav with 740 votes and Adv Satish Kunkekar with 514 votes.
Adv V R Patil, after the declaration of election results, said, "I will sincerely try to earn everyone's trust. The fight for the Circuit Bench of High Court will be intensified in the near future."
Winning Candidates were vice president Tukaram Padekar (1135 votes), secretary Manoj Patil (913 votes), joint secretary Suraj Bhosle (884 votes), local auditor Pramod Dabhade (1044 votes) and women pepresentative: Manisha Satpute (934 votes)
Executive Members elected were Vaishnavi Kulkarni (958 votes), Vaibhav Patil (1082 votes), Pritam Patale (917 votes), Meena Patole (985 votes), Samradnyi Shelke (1009 votes), Swapnil Karale (724 votes), Snehal Gurav (903 votes), Hansika Jadhav (200 votes), Nikhil Mudgal (820 votes).
