KOLKATA: A devastating fire broke out inside one of the units of Falta Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the wee hours of Thursday. Twenty two fire tenders were deployed to douse the flames. However, the flames raged till the evening though no one was hurt in the fire.
The fire broke out around 2 am on Thursday inside a plastic manufacturing factor. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Fire fighters suspect that a short circuit triggered the fire. Though the damage is yet to be estimated, it is expected to be quite large.
