Man found dead in Bhowanipore

Kolkata: A 50-year-old man was found unconscious at Ramesh Mitra Road and Townsend Road crossing at Bhowanipore around 7.30am on Sunday. According to police, Milan Das, a resident of Ishan Ghosh Road under Haridevpur police station, was declared dead when taken to the hospital.
Locals said Das was drinking with two of his friends on the roadside. When police raided the place at midnight, two managed to escape, while Milan could not move as he was unconscious.Locals alleged police left him there. However, police refuted such claims. tnn
