KOLKATA: Trinamool Congress MP Satabdi Roy has been summoned by CBI in connection to Saradha probe. While the actress turned politician claimed that she is yet to receive any summon from the central investigating agency, sources in CBI said that she has been asked to appear before them till November 15.
"I have not received any communication or summon from CBI so far.
But I am ready to comply with the investigating agencies," Roy said. Roy was earlier questioned by the
Enforcement Directorate (ED) at its New Delhi office. Her former election agent Somnath Dutta was also arrested by CBI earlier.
In his purported letter to CBI Sudipta Sen, accused in the case, claimed that Satabdi Roy had been the brand ambassador of the Saradha group companies. In his email communication with another Saradha accused Manoranjana Singh, he has referred to Roy for an "appraisal" of his companies. Last year, while talking to reporters outside the Suri court, Saradha boss Sudipta Sen claimed that he used to pay Rs 2 lakh per month to Roy while she was a brand ambassador of his company.
