KOLKATA: Tripura's chief minister
Manik Saha is scheduled to visit Kolkata on Saturday to attend a programme to join "ek Bharat sreshtha Bharat"--a flagship programme of the central government to promote mutual understanding between different states. Bengal BJP leaders have asked Saha to showcase his win at the assembly election in Tripura in February this year.
"We have invited them to share their experience after their victory in Tripura a few months back. If Tripura is celebrating their victory, it will also include Bengali speaking diaspora and people from Bengal," said Agnimitra Paul, general secretary of the Bengal BJP.
Under the "ek Bharat sreshtha Bharat" programme to be held at the National Library on April 8, cultural programmes for both West Bengal and Tripura will be showcased. Folk artists from Bengal and Tripura will be present at the programme.
