Former Maharashtra governor's wife passes away

PALAKKAD: Prof. Radha Sankaranarayanan (76), wife of former Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan, passed away at her residence here on Saturday morning.
Many political leaders, including former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, KPCC president V M Sudheeran, M B Rajesh, MP, former ministers C N Balakrishnan, P C Chacko and others visited the house of the deceased and paid homage to the departed soul.
Her mortal remains were cremated at Ivar Madhom on the banks of the Bharathapuzha at Pampadi.
She is survived by daughter Anupama, son-in-law Ajith, sisters Dr Parvathy, Kalyani Nambiar, Parvathy Kurup and brother Gopinath.
