LUCKNOW: An associate of Sayyed Asim Ali, Mohd Naved Raza Siddiqui of Bareilly was arrested for allegedly providing logistic support to the two killers-Moinuddin and Ashfaq.
Siddiqui has been accused of helping the duo sneak into Nepal and has been charged with concealing information, harbouring offender to escape from custody. Now the Uttar Pradesh police has arrested seven persons in connection with Kamlesh Tewari’s murder.
Senior police officers said that Siddiqui had ferried the suspects in his car till Lakhimpur Kheri’s Gauri Fanta area.
Sources privy to the probe have also revealed that Siddiqui was a lawyer and was preparing to get the duo surrendered.
So far the Lucknow police have arrested Maulana Sheikh, Faizaan, Rashid Pathan,
Moinuddin Pathan, Ashfaq, Syed Asim Ali, Syed Kaifi Ali and Naved Raza Siddiqui in connection with murder of Tewari.
