Over 700 get medals as cultural fest ends at LU
Lucknow: The five-day cultural extravaganza, Sanskriti Surbhi, concluded at Lucknow University's second campus with a valedictory ceremony. Over 700 medals, 200 mementos and 100 trophies were distributed to winners across various competitions.
The day began with cycling and photography contests, followed by the award ceremony. Chief guest pro vice-chancellor Manuka Khanna inaugurated the event, praising the students for successfully showcasing India's rich cultural heritage. Director of the cultural committee, Satish Chandra highlighted the significance of such events in fostering skills and resilience among students.
Notable winners included Akanksha and Shiv Shukla (Hindi debate), Srishti Maurya (Solo dance), Nitish Gupta (Poster-making) and Shaarib Khan (Solo singing).
With over 4,000 participants from more than 60 institutions, Sanskriti Surbhi proved a platform for showcasing talent and cultural diversity, officials said.
