LUCKNOW: Former BJP MP and Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas senior member, Ram Vilas Vedanti was issued a life threat on phone by a caller twice following which he informed the district magistrate.
The district magistrate in turn informed Vibhutikhand police which registered a case and started investigation.
According to the FIR, Vedanti, who is also permanent member of the advisory committee of urban and rural development ministry, stated that he was staying at the house of his close acquaintance Vednand Ojha in Vinamrakhand when he got a call from an unidentified number.

“The called used abusive language and so I disconnected the call. A little later I got another call from another cell number and this time also the caller used abusive language and went on to issue me a life threat. I contacted the district magistrate complaining him about the entire episode,” he stated.
Police spokesman A K Singh said that Vibhutikhand police received a report from the district magistrate office in this regard on Sunday night.
“The police instantly lodged a case in this connection,” he said.
SHO Vibhutikhand, Mathura Rai said that an FIR against has been registered unidentified person for attempt to provoke breach of peace, criminal intimidation, and criminal intimidation by anonymous communication.
