Ludhiana: Residents’ battle against the cold weather continued on Wednesday as the minimum temperature remained below 3°C for the third consecutive day. Meanwhile, the meteorological department has predicted partly cloudy weather for the next few days in Ludhiana.
Minimum temperature in Ludhiana on Wednesday was recorded at 2.8°C, which is 3.1 degrees less than normal but 1.2 degrees more than a day before.
At 1.6°C, the lowest night temperature was recorded on Tuesday, which was coldest night in January since 2020 when minimum temperature had fallen to 0.3°C. On Monday too, the night temperature was recorded at 2.4°C.
Meanwhile, as clouds did appear in the city’s sky on Wednesday, it’s impact reflected on the maximum (day) temperature in Ludhiana which was recorded at 18.5°C, which was 0.2 degree more than a day before.
The MeT officials said as the western disturbance is approaching, temperatures especially minimum temperature is expected to rise in the next about two days.
