, on being elected as the opposition leader of the council, here on Tuesday. “Coastal districts would secure top positions in the SSLC and PU results earlier, however, fake nationalists have been misleading students, and the region is losing its significance in the field of education. There is a need to give more emphasis to education, so that the region retains its position in exam rankings,” he said.

He equated attacks on minorities and Dalits in the nation, to attacks on the Constitution. “The Constitution has given equal rights to every citizen of the nation. Hence, injustice meted out to any citizen is depriving them of their rights,” he said.
