CM Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated three advanced cyber labs in Mumbai to strengthen the fight against rising digital crimes.
Fadnavis announced that every police station in Mumbai now has a dedicated Women’s Help Room to support women in distress.
The cyber labs will aid in probing cybercrimes, including data recovery from damaged or erased devices used to hide digital evidence.
The launch saw presence of top officials like Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar and MoS (Home) Yogesh Kadam, showing unified support.
Modern labs will enable quick verification of cyber evidence in crimes against women, ensuring faster justice and safer digital space.
Labs will also focus on curbing online financial frauds, including money laundering and bank account hacking through advanced software.
Special forensic vans, crime vans for women’s safety, and interceptor vehicles for traffic violations have been introduced.
