BMC disaster control room stated that services on Central railway stopped due to water logging between Kurla-Dadar and Dadar-Masjid Bunder. Waterlogging forced traffic diversion at Hindmata, Gandhi Market, Sion Road, Malad Subway, Bandra Talkies, Shastri Nagar in Goregaon, Andheri Market Subway and many other areas. Due to heavy rain and water logging between Churchgate and Andheri Suburban, train service is suspended.

Two security guards of an Agripada building in central Mumbai died after the elevator they took from the basement to go to the ground floor didn’t start, its doors got locked and there was waterlogging. The fire brigade removed the two security guards but they had died by then, said police.
