Mumbai: Power cuts due to fire at BEST substation

A fire broke out in a transformer of a BEST substation at Kamgar Nagar in Prabhadevi at 2.54pm. This led to power cuts in parts of Prabhadevi area for over seven hours.

MUMBAI: A fire broke out in a transformer of a BEST substation at Kamgar Nagar in Prabhadevi at 2.54pm. This led to power cuts in parts of Prabhadevi area for over seven hours.
The fire was confined to the oil transformer at the substation near the Nagate building and was extinguished within 20 minutes. No injuries were reported. A fire official said that the cause of the fire will be investigated by the police.
