Following the terror attack in Pahalgam, political reactions have emerged, with Sanjay Raut criticizing the BJP's focus on political maneuvering over public safety and demanding Amit Shah's resignation. Supriya Sule claimed prior intelligence about a possible attack and urged the government to address security lapses.

MUMBAI/PUNE: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday alleged that "whatever happened" in Pahalgam "is the outcome of the hatred BJP created in the country," while NCP (SP)'s Supriya Sule demanded a reply from the home department, claiming there were discussions about it receiving information 15 days ago about the possibility of such a strike.
Aaditya Thackeray said on X that he hoped there would be a strong response against terrorists, but added "questions must be asked on the security lapses." MPCC president Harshawardhan Sapkal said India should take stern action against the terrorists, and MNS chief Raj Thackeray, who is abroad, expressed complete support for the Central govt on X while urging decisive action.
Calling for Union home minister Amit Shah's resignation, Raut said on X, "All time is spent in forming and toppling governments! The mind remains occupied 365 days in plotting to eliminate political opponents. Public safety is left to Ram Bharose (God willing). Even Ram is fed up with these people now."
Speaking to the media, Raut said, " There were thousands of tourists there, but not a single security personnel was present. When Shah landed in Srinagar, there was huge security, but there is no security for the common man."

Aaditya posted, "While we pray for peace, offer condolences to those who lost their lives, hope for quick recovery of the injured and hope that there will be a strong response against terrorists, questions must be asked on the security lapses and how this happened. Real answers will be justice and more so, a strong answer to the attackers." Sule said, "Some media reports showed that two weeks back, some inputs were received through interception, indicating a possible attack. I do not want to make any criticism of govt at the moment as the safety of tourists should be priority. But I urge the PM and Union home minister to call an all-party meeting and put out facts related to the attack."
.Parties, including BJP, Shiv Sena and Congress, organised protests across the state to condemn the terror attack.
