Shirur election results 2024 live updates: NCP(SP)'s Amol Ramsing Kolhe wins
NEW DELHI: Dr. Amol Ramsing Kolhe of the Nationalist Congress Party – Sharadchandra Pawar won with 698,692 votes, a margin of 140,951 over the runner-up.
Adhalrao Shivaji Dattatrey of the Nationalist Congress Party came in second place with 557,741 votes, falling short by 140,951 votes.
Manohar Mahadu Wadekar, an independent candidate, secured 28,330 votes, trailing the winner by 670,362 votes.

Dr. Anwar Sheikh of the Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi received 17,462 votes, 681,230 votes behind the winner.
Rahul Raghunath Owhal of the Bahujan Samaj Party obtained 10,295 votes, 688,397 votes less than the winner.
The remaining candidates, including independents and those from various parties such as the Bharat Adivasi Party, Lok Sena Party, Baliraja Party, Bharatheeya Jawan Kisan Party, Bhim Sena, Sainik Samaj Party, Bhartiya Navjawan Sena (Paksha), and Bharatiya Lokvikas Party, received fewer than 10,000 votes each.

The NOTA (None of the Above) option received 9,661 votes, 689,031 votes fewer than the winning candidate.
Shirur Lok Sabha Constituency, held its elections on May 13 during the fourth phase, and recorded a voter turnout of 54.16%.

The current MP for Shirur is Amol Kolhe, a former actor well-known among Marathi viewers for his role as Sambhaji in a Marathi television series.

Based on the 2011 census data, the population of Shirur Taluka stands at 385,414, with Scheduled Castes (SC) constituting 10.9% and Scheduled Tribes (ST) making up 8.3% of the total population.
In the 2009 and 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil of the Shiv Sena emerged victorious in the Shirur constituency.
