Nagpur: ‘Anand Tarang’, a colourful programme of Hindi and Marathi songs, was presented by Avishkar Kala Sanstha at Narayani Hall of MKH Sancheti Public School and Junior College, Wardha Road, on Wednesday evening.
Mohan Gandhe, president, MD Gandhe Memorial Education Society, Nagpur, was the chief guest.
To welcome arrival of monsoon that brings along a pleasant climate and greenery, the programme started with song ‘Rutu hirva’ by Madhvi Palsokar, followed by evergreen Marathi hit number ‘Bai bai maan moracha kasa pisara fullala’ by Sandhya Gaikwad.
Disha Bhamburkar’s ‘Moh moh ke dhage’ got repeated applause.
Songs like ‘Shodhu mi kuthe’, ‘Ruperi valut, ‘He sawalya ghana’, ‘Navika re wara wahi re’ and ‘Man chimb pavsali’ were presented. In all, 26 songs were presented.
Many old hits like, ‘Aayiye meharban’ by Ankita Samdale, ‘Tune o rangele kaisa jadu kiya’ and ‘Ye mera dil pyar ka deewana’ by Aarti Rajkondawar, ‘O mere shona re shona’ by Manisha Hirde, ‘Saiyya dil mein aana re’ by Reema Borikar and ‘Ye ladka hai Allah’ by Meghna Sagdev took the audience to the golden era of music.
The programme concluded with ‘Nigahe milane ko jee chahta hai’ sung by Ashwini Barde. The programme was conceptualized by Smita Joshi.
Parimal Pise, Pankaj Yadav, Akshay Harle, Rigved Pande and Gajanan Ranade accompanied on synthesizer, tabla, octopod, guitar and minor respectively.
