Two from Nashik selected for coveted Late Vinod Doshi fellowship

Senior theatre activist and director Praveen Kalokhe and actress Kalyani Mule from Nashik have been selected among the five artists from the country to receive the most prestigious late Vinod Doshi Fellowship.

NASHIK: Senior theatre activist and director Praveen Kalokhe and actress Kalyani Mule from Nashik have been selected among the five artists from the country to receive the most prestigious late Vinod Doshi Fellowship.
The Sahitya Rangabhoomi Pratishthan annually awards the Vinod Doshi Fellowships in Performing Arts to ?ve promising theatre professionals since last 11 years.

The Fellowship carries a grant of Rs 1 Lakh to expend as the fellow wishes to with an only expectation of creative risk—taking.
Pravin Kalokhe is one of the founder members as well as president of Nashik’s ‘The Genius’ theatre group’ which has been working in experimental theatre since 2002. He is also one of the directors working with the Rangsadhana theatre group in Nashik. He heads the Drama Committee of the Kusumagraj Pratishthan which supports theatre among other cultural activities such as art, music, and dance. He has been playing a key role in organizingtheatre workshops and ?teatre festivals and conducts a round—the—year Natya Abhyas Warg course in Kusumagraj Pratisthan for upcoming talent.
Kalyanee Mulay, an alumnus of National School of Drama, has also worked with eminent theatre directors from home and abroad. She is also playing the lead role in director Jyoti Patils' upcoming film being produced by the National Film Development Corporation of India.
