Ex-deputy sarpanch killed for harassment

NAVI MUMBAI: Four engineers, Ajinkya Pandav, Parag Patil, Mitesh Mohokar and Sameet Mhatre were arrested for the murder of Shridhar Patil, a former deputy sarpanch of Shivansai village in Panvel on Thursday. Shridhar and his brothers allegedly passed lewd remarks about Ajinkya’s sister, which resulted in a spat. Later, Parag allegedly stabbed him. Shridhar’s brothers have also been booked on several charges.
