NOIDA: The district administration has directed residents having more than one electoral photo identity cards to immediately retain their names only in their original voters' lists. Residents have been asked to delete their names from any other voter list in which they might be registered.
“It has come to the notice of the administration that a large number of voters have their names registered in multiple voters' lists.
Strict action would be initiated against them if they do not delete their names from other lists,” said
Sanjay Chauhan, ADM (E).
The administration said voters with multiple voter IDs can be punished with jail terms in accordance with the provisions of the Representation of the Peoples' Act, 1950.
