Noida: Uttar Pradesh's director general of police, Prashant Kumar, on Tuesday inaugurated 11 newly constructed pink booths, 11 police outposts, and a multi-purpose building, at a special event that took place at the GB Nagar police commissionerate.
These newly built pink booths will be located at sites including the Sector-104 Market, Sectors-52 and -59 metro stations, Gaur City Mall, and Mihir Bhoj and Galgotia colleges.

"Noida is a hi-tech city, where women work till late at night. In such a situation, pink booths will play an important role in ensuring their safety. Women can go to the pink booth without hesitation and register a complaint and get immediate police assistance," said the DGP.
Video walls, aimed at monitoring suspicious activities, coordinated police action, immediate dissemination of data and information, and promoting smart policing, were also inaugurated at 26 police stations.
Several police personnel including Ravi Shankar Nim, DCP (headquarters/protocol), Saad Miya Khan, DCP (Greater Noida), Shakti Mohan Avasthy, DCP (Central Noida), Preeti Yadav, DCP (cyber), were also recognised and honoured for doing commendable work in the district.
During his address, DGP Kumar praised the commissionerate system implemented in cities like Lucknow, Noida, Varanasi, Agra, Ghaziabad, Prayagraj, and Kanpur and said they have set new standards of active, responsible, and transparent policing in Uttar Pradesh.
