PATNA: A five-day theatre festival, named 'Ekant Ke Rang', during which a total of 12 plays would be presented, will conclude here at Kalidas Rangalaya on Saturday. The 'natya mahotsav' featuring solo performances by artists was inaugurated on May 3 by a former teacher of Delhi University, Mahesh Anand, who is also a well-known theatre critic.
'Ekant Ke Rang' is all about different shades of acting styles and postures, said Mona Jha, a theatre artist who performed on May 4 along with Javed Akhtar Khan and Vinod kumar on plays by Bhishm Sahni.
The plays were directed by Parvez Akhtar.
On Thursday, two plays — 'Savera' and 'Akeli Aurat' — were presented. A play 'Parom Sharmila', directed by Ojas, social activist from Pune, was showcased on May 6. Two National School of Drama artists, Praveen Gunjan and Manvendra Tripathi, also presented a play, 'Samjhauta'.
