Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Friday said that the Moin-ul-Haq stadium here is soon to become the nation's premier international-level facility for various sports, including cricket, indoor games, and outdoor games. The stadium at Rajendra Nagar is now undergoing renovation.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the Sports Conclave 2.0, with the tagline 'Dil Se Khelo, Mil Ke Jeeto', at Gyan Bhawan here, Tejashwi also announced that a sports injury centre is being established at LNJPN Hospital.
"We will bear all expenses for treatment of Bihari players injured in state or national-level tournaments," he said.

Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA), the two- day sports conclave commenced with a flurry of panel discussions on Friday, featuring over 30 panellists and attracting more than 200 dignitaries from across the country. Highlighting the development of sports infrastructure, Tejashwi announced the upcoming construction of an astro turf for hockey players and the establishment of an international sports stadium in Rajgir.
"With a comprehensive roadmap in place, encompassing athlete and coach training, summer camps, and tournaments, we will propel Bihar towards sporting excellence. We are thrilled to have reached this milestone. However, this is only the beginning. Our vision is to establish an exceptional sports infrastructure in state also ," Tejashwi said during the inauguration.
The event witnessed the unveiling of the new logo of the BSSA. Tejashwi also inaugurated the recruitment portal for the sports policy, which aims to reward successful athletes at international-level with employment opportunities. Talking about the initiative, Tejashwi said: "With the implementation of the new policy by the sports authority, international-level players will now get jobs simply by showing their medals. The online portal will make the recruitment process transparent and easier for players."
Jitendra Kumar Rai, minister of art, culture, and youth affairs said: "Bihar has huge talent. By providing the right training and guidance, we believe that these individuals can bring immense pride not just for our state, but to the entire nation."
Bandana Preyashi, secretary (art, culture and youth affairs) said, "Over the past year, our focus has been to identify and nurture talent. We are confident that by Sports Conclave 3.0, a greater number of athletes will rise to international levels, win more medals and secure more jobs."
Raveendran Sankaran, director General of BSSA, said, "To foster motivation and encourage grassroots talents, we have started giving cash rewards from the school-level itself."
