Pune: The local unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) recently held a protest claiming that the civic administration had not provided an adequate number of public toilets in the Sinhagad Road area and that the existing facilities lacked proper maintenance.
A delegation approached the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) ward office on Sinhagad Road to demand corrective measures.
Dhananjay Benkar, an AAP leader, said, “The facilities are filthy, lack water supply, and there are no proper electricity arrangements. The PMC needs to conduct a detailed audit of the toilets.”
A PMC official said, “We will conduct random checks and instruct the agencies to conductrepairs.” tnn
