AICTE inspects Saurashtra University

RAJKOT: A team of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) carried out inspection at Saurashtra University to verify the claims made by the university about the quality of education on Monday.
"The team consisting of Dr Reddy from Dakshin Bharat University, Dr Ashit Khan and Professor Shastri arrived at MBA Bhavan of Saurashtra University at 10.30 am.The team has sought details about the number of students vis-Ã -vis teaching staff, the status of library and the building construction," said an official from the Saurashtra University.
The inspection comes in the wake of complaints about deteriorating state of education and infrastructure in 18 pharmacy and 10 MBA colleges of the state. The AICTE team conducted inspection in seven pharmacy colleges, following complaints of lack of staff strength and ill-equipped laboratories.
