Chatra: An 18-year-old man, identified as Umesh Ganjhu, was found dead in a well in one Lukuiya village in the on Saturday. Ganjhu, a resident of Butkuiya village in Kunda block, went missing on Monday evening.
The police said Umesh's hands were tied with his shirt before he was thrown into the well. Kunda police station in-charge Prince Kumar said a suspected love affair could have been the motive behind Umesh's murder.
A FIR was registered against nine people, included five named, based on a complaint by the victim's father and the body was sent for autopsy.
