SURAT : With an objective to apprise industry members of South Gujarat region on trading the shares and securities of SMEs, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Pantomath Group has organised an awareness session on 'SME Listing' in the city on Friday.
An SME Exchange is a stock exchange dedicated for trading the shares and securities of SMEs who otherwise find it difficult to get listed on the main stock market.
World over, dedicated SME trading platforms or exchanges are prevalent, which are known by different names such as 'Alternate Investment markets' or 'growth enterprises market', 'SME Board' etc.
In March, 2012, SME Exchange was launched in India. A dedicated stock exchange for SMEs would allow them accessing capital markets easily, quickly and at lesser costs.
There are several benefits of being listed at BSE SMEs including access to capital and financing opportunities, M&A Currency, premium valuation and any other tax benefits.
The session would provide unique opportunity to interact with dignitaries, field experts and promoters who have already listed their companies on the SME platform.
Progressive entrepreneurs with sustainable business model, both from the textile, diamond, chemical and other allied industries have been invited to attend the session for wealth creation and succession planning through SME listing.
