THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After the young cinestar, Meera Jasmin charged her family with appropriating her earnings from films, it is now the turn of Jomol, another popular actress until recently, to accuse her father with snapping up her earnings. Jomol has complained to the Kunnamangalm magisterial court that her earnings amounting to Rs 90 lakhs from the film acting had been stealthily appropriated by her father who is idle and has no earning today. The magistrate has asked the Medical College police to investigate, she informed a news conference at Kozhikode on Monday. Her film career that began in 1997 peaked in 2003. Jomol, a christian, has married Chandrasekhar, an engineer in Mumbai. She has got converted to Hinduism and assumed the name of Gowri. The couple has a 10-month-old child. Jomol said she had feeling that her father wanted to spite her for getting converted and all his actions reinforced the apprehension. She had reasoned with her family to give her due but she did not get an encouraging response. Hence the case.
