915 pensioners attend ‘Sparsh’ in Trichy
Trichy: System for Pension Administration Raksha (Sparsh) was organised in Trichy on Friday by the Controller of Defence Accounts (CDA), Chennai. Around 915 pensioners from the district attended the program.
The outreach programme organised for the defence pensioners at Kalai Arangam hall jointly by the CDA, Headquarters Dakshin Bharat Area of the Indian Army, and the district administration saw Lt Gen K S Brar, general officer commanding, Headquarters Dakshin Bharat Area explaining the difficulties faced by the family pensioners.

He also highlighted the efforts being made to resolve the pension grievances through the Sparsh portal and elaborated on the welfare schemes available for children of ex-servicemen.
“Pension is the right of the veterans who have toiled very hard for the nation. It is the duty of the government to ensure ‘Right Pension at the Right time’,” district collector M Pradeep Kumar said. In continuation of the outreach programme, identification of Sparsh pensioners and grievance redressal will be carried out at Kalai Arangam on Saturday, a press release said. Stalls were installed at the venue to address the grievances such as life certificate identification, updating Aadhar, Sparsh information and banking facilities.
