Entrepreneurs, comedians and researchers to grace TEDx MSU

VADODARA: M S University’s Faculty of Technology and Engineering will play host to the famed TEDx event on June 14. The event, titled as ‘TEDx Maharaja Sayajirao University’ will provide the students with an intellectual exposure at a global level.
The TEDx event, is an off-shoot of TED, a not-for-profit initiative that offers a platform to achievers and thinkers from diverse fields spanning design, technology, science and literature to present their most inspirational ideas in 18 minutes or less.TEDx follows the same format, but is hosted and coordinated independently at the local level.
The confirmed speakers for the event include Vikram Shridhar, credited with reviving the lost art of storytelling by fusing it with innovations and creative ideas. His initiative –‘Around the Story Tree’ to connect modern day listeners to the surrounding environment through the power of stories.
Another speakers include Ankit Agrawal, a entrepreneur with a keen interest in sustainability and innovation and Jubin Mehta, a creative writer who shares a passion for farming and modeling alternative living. The event will also witness the participation of Sahil Shah, the country’s youngest professional comedian and Dr Vijay Bhargav who wears many hats as a natural science researcher, biotechnologist, entrepreneur, writer and artist.
“It is a matter of great prestige to host a TEDx event. Through the event we wish to provide a global platform to the students to learn and innovate,” said Kesha Shah, who is part of the organizing committee.
