Three dead, two injured in Nashik autorickshaw accident

Three people, including a four-year-old girl, died and two others were seriously injured in a collision between an autorickshaw and a container truck on Sinnar-Ghoti Road in Maharashtra's Nashik district. The accident occurred in Igatpuri taluka, with the autorickshaw driver and his daughter among the deceased. The authorities have detained the truck driver.

VARANASI: At least three people, including a four-year-old girl, died, and two others were seriously injured when an autorickshaw collided with a container truck in Maharashtra's Nashik district, police reported on Tuesday.
The collision took place on Sinnar-Ghoti Road in Igatpuri taluka on Monday evening, as confirmed by an official.
According to the official, the container truck and autorickshaw were involved in a direct collision.
Amol Vinayak Ghuge (25), who was driving the autorickshaw, lost his life at the scene.
His daughter, Swara, and Martand Piraji Awad (60) succumbed to their injuries at a hospital. The official also stated that two additional passengers in the autorickshaw sustained injuries.
The authorities have taken the truck driver into custody and initiated legal proceedings against him.
