Mohan Reddy, Prasada Reddy to receive honorary doctorates

GUNTUR: Vignan University will confer honorary doctorates to IT firm Cyient's executive chairman Dr BVR Mohan Reddy and Santa Biotech founder Dr KL Varaprasada Reddy at its next convocation to be held on August 4.
Social activist and noted physician Dr Kutikuppala Surya Rao and veteran Tollywood director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao would also receive the honorary doctorates.
Speakign to the media in Guntur on Monday, Vignan University vice-chancellor Dr MYS Prasad said that Dr Mohan Reddy will be the chief guest in the convocation.
“We found it a privilege to confer the honorary doctorates to four legendary personalities in their own fields. While Mohan Reddy showed the world the power of local IT talent, Varaprasada Reddy has proved that Indian pharma is no lesser to the world leaders,” said Dr Prasad.
He said that Singeetham Srinivasa Rao is a multi-faced talent in the film world as he could handle several jobs including that of screenplay writer, script writer, dialogues and music. He explained that Dr Surya Rao is a known face in the medical services in the state.
