YSRC MLA bats for detained NRI Vuyyuru Srinivas

VIJAYAWADA: A day after ex-minister and Venkatagiri MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy was removed as constituency in-charge for his remarks against the government, Mylavaram legislator Vasanta Krishna Prasad has expressed dissatisfaction over the detention of NRI Vuyyuru Srinivas in connection with the stampede in Guntur on Sunday.
Krishna Prasad, speaking to reporters on Wednesday, said there is nothing wrong if NRIs want to hold welfare activities."Srinivas has been targeted as he supported TDP. The police action against him will create fear among NRIs to do social service in AP," he said. The TDP, Jana Sena, and Left parties also urged the government not to trouble organisations which come forward to help the poor.
