Visakhapatnam: Ships of the Bangladesh Navy— frigate Ali Haider and missile corvette Shadinota have arrived in Visakhapatnam to participate in a maiden bilateral exercise for four days, till October 16. The bilateral exercise will include interactions among the navies of the two countries as well as visits to the Indian Naval training and maintenance facilities in the Port City.
BNS Ali Haider is a type 053 frigate and BNS Shadinota is a type 056 missile corvette. Prior to arriving in Visakhapatnam, the ships undertook a coordinated patrol with
Indian Navy ships INS Ranjivay and INS Kuthar from October 10-12.
The second edition of the Indian Navy and Bangladesh Navi coordinated patrol has increased the scope of joint exercises between navies of both the countries. The bilateral exercises are aimed at sharing best practices in operations and sharing other advancements in seamanship.
