ICSE, ISC compartmental & improvement results to be declared on October 17

KOLKATA: CISCE on Wednesday released the dates and details for compartmental and

improvement exams

for ICSE and ISC students this year. The results will be published at 3pm on October 17 but no college or university in Bengal will be able to take these students in, based on their new scores, as the date of application would already be over by then.


“For students scoring higher after improvement exams, we can only update our records, if they had already found seats in our college,” said a Calcutta University college principal.

CISCE said compartmental exam for ICSE (Class X) would be held on October 6 and 7 and that for ISC on October 6. Improvement exams for ICSE will be from October 6 to 9 and that for ISC from October 6 and 7.

“Candidates who had appeared for the improvement exams... and who have been awarded changed marks must return the previous marks or the pass certificates in original... Only then, the revised documents will be sent to the candidates’ school,” read a circular from chief executive and secretary of CISCE Gerry Arathoon. “Students can appear for improvement exams in one or all subjects they had missed,” said Ram Mohan Mission School principal Sujoy Biswas.
