IELTS Celebrating Success Award 2024: IDP Education, the official distributor of IELTS tests in India, has launched the IELTS Celebrating Success Award, aimed at recognising the accomplishments of students who excel in their English proficiency tests. A total of Rs 30,00,000 in awards will be distributed, with 300 students each receiving Rs 10,000 for achieving an overall band score of six or higher in their IELTS examination.
How to Participate in the Award Scheme
To qualify for the IELTS Celebrating Success Award, candidates must take their IELTS test in India between October 1 and December 31, 2024. Upon achieving a minimum band score of 6.0, participants need to post a video on their Instagram account, answering the question: “How will IELTS help you succeed in your personal or professional goals?” The video should be under 60 seconds long. Candidates must tag @ieltsidpindia and include the hashtag #IELTSCelebratingSuccess to be eligible.
Once the video is posted, participants must submit their contact details and the link to their Instagram post on the contest page. A judging panel will select 100 entries each month based on creativity and impact, leading to a total of 300 winners by the end of the promotion period.
Understanding the IELTS Test Format
The IELTS test evaluates candidates across four language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The first three components are conducted consecutively on a single day without breaks. The Speaking test may occur either on the same day or within a week before or after the other tests. The total duration for the IELTS is under three hours, providing a comprehensive assessment of a candidate’s language capabilities.

Eligibility and Application Process
The IELTS Celebrating Success Award is open to all Indian citizens or legal residents who are at least 18 years old and have booked their IELTS test through IDP during the promotion period. Only candidates who achieve a band score of 6.0 or above are eligible. Proof of identity may be required, and any candidates who are absent from the test or have cancelled their booking will not qualify.

With an emphasis on merit and inclusivity — 33% of the awards will be reserved for female candidates — the initiative reflects IDP’s commitment to fostering talent and encouraging English language proficiency among students.
