The 2025 board exams, which were conducted between February 24 and March 12, saw a staggering participation of over 54 lakh students, making UP Board the largest school examination board globally by number of candidates. Specifically, 27,32,216 students appeared for the Class 10 exams.
To ensure timely results, the board deployed 1,34,723 examiners to evaluate over 2.96 crore answer sheets across 261 evaluation centres statewide. The evaluation process concluded on April 2, following the implementation of a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) sent to District Inspectors of Schools and school principals who were designated as chief and deputy controllers.
Students must secure at least 33% marks in each subject to pass. Those dissatisfied with their results can apply for revaluation or appear for compartment exams, expected to be held in July 2025.
