JAIPUR: The Congress has intensified its war room strategy to give BJP a tough time on the polling day. A team of experts-lawyers, social media experts, content developers and political analyst exchanges complaint and counter complaint throughout the day making the battle at the backroom intense and interesting.
Congress imported its experts from Delhi who formed a proper operating system to register a complaint and monitors it till it gets resolved.
Vishal Meena, state coordinator of Congress IT department says that total of 600 complaints were filed by them during the day. "The complaints broadly categories into EVM malfunction and administration problems. Most of these complaints with the election commission and the local administration were resolved on the real time basis while those pending will be of serious nature," said Meena. Almost 100 experts were involved full time from 6am in the morning till in the evening. Meena further added that the operating system followed on April 29 had helped swing support in favour of the Congress. The party has formed a helpline number for the booth agents and others party workers to connect with the war room directly.
While on the other side, BJP's war room has several teams receiving information from the booths and passing it to the concerned department. Nirmal Nahata incharge of BJP war room said that the system developed by them doesn't leave any chance to not acknowledging information and forwarding it to the right platform. "Across the poll bound seats we have received complaints that EVMs in a particular section of people areas were working very fast while the machines outside the areas were running very slow leading to long queues. They queues were discouraging people to vote," said Nahata.
