Singing sensation Ado, best known for her hit “Usseewa”, recently gave an interview to Billboard where she talked about her journey so far, her dreams, and her upcoming world tour. Ado became a star at just 17, known for her strong vocals and her mysterious image—she never shows her face publicly. Now 22, she is one of Japan’s most popular music artists.
Ado said her 2022 concert at Saitama Super Arena was a big moment in her life. Performing there had always been her dream.
She also released a new album titled Ado’s Best Album, a greatest-hits collection that includes two new songs—“Bouquet for Me” and “ROCKSTAR.” The first is a feel-good track meant to lift your mood in the morning. The second is a rock song made for a commercial and was written by music producer jon-YAKITORY, who has worked with her many times before.

Ado’s next big step: A global tour

Ado is preparing for her second world tour, titled “Ado WORLD TOUR 2025: Hibana,” which is powered by Crunchyroll. She will perform in over 30 cities, including places she has never been before. Ado said she’s especially excited about visiting Italy for the first time.
She also shared some memories from her last tour, like visiting the Louvre and Arc de Triomphe in Paris, walking over 30,000 steps in stylish boots with heels.
Her dream? To win a Grammy and do an even bigger world tour in the future. She hopes this tour becomes a spark—just like its name Hibana, which means “spark” in Japanese—that helps spread Japanese music across the world.
Ado also thanked her fans for their support over the last five years. She said, “Five years may not be such a long time, but I’m truly grateful that I’ve been able to continue my activities for so long and that so many people know about Ado.”
With her powerful voice, unique style, and worldwide dreams, Ado is definitely an artist to keep an eye on.
