Guess who’s the new Feluda on the block!
From
Soumitra Chatterjee to Sabyasachi Chakrabarty to
Parambrata Chatterjee, Abir Chatterjee and Tota Roy Chowdhury, the character of the iconic Bengali intellectual sleuth has been played by several legendary actors from Tollywood. And now, Indrasis Roy is all set to play the master sleuth on stage. Directed by Subhadip Chakrabarti, who’s also playing Jatayu, the play is based on Golapi Mukto Rahasya and will be staged by the theatre workers of Ankur.
Indrasis is really kicked about the project. “I am really excited, but the feeling of being committed to something as iconic as playing
Feluda
is guiding me right now,” said the actor. “I am not a seasoned stage actor and hence, my preparation involved a lot of workshops and diligence. We all are being trained through several activities to meet expectations. It has been a very fulfilling process,” added Indrasis, who will be seen for the second time on stage after working with Debapratim Dasgupta.
The group has acquired the rights from Sandip Ray. The music rights are also with the team and
Nabarun Bose
is scoring the music for the play.
