Koel Mallick is set to be a mother once again. The popular Bengali actress announced her pregnancy via social media on Thursday. Koel took to Instagram and shared a photo of herself with her husband Nispal Singh Rane and son
Kabir while announcing the joyous news. Koel shared the family photo and announced that their family of three is now expanding. The ‘Mitin Mashi’ of the silver screen wrote, “Happy to share that our family is growing & Kabir will soon take up the role of a big brother!!!! Love & blessings are much needed.”

Ranjit Mallick, started her acting journey while she was still in college. She debuted with ‘Nater Guru’, opposite Tollywood superstar Jeet, released in 2003. ‘Nater Guru’ was a ‘runaway success’ at the box office. ‘Nater Guru’ marked Koel’s entry into Tollywood with a promising career ahead. Koel won her first award for Best Actor in a Leading Role Female for the film. Since the success of ‘Nater Guru’, Koel and Jeet became a hit on-screen pair and went on to work together Sin several successful films like ‘Hero’, ‘Bandhan’, ‘Saat Paake Bandha’, ‘Neel Akasher Chandni’, ‘100% Love’, ‘Dui Prithibi’. However, two years after Jeet tied the knot with Mohona Ratlani, Koel married Nispal Singh Rane, a well-known producer in Tollywood, in 2013. They had been in a relationship for seven years before that, but both of them had decided to keep their relationship private. In 2020, Koel announced via Instagram that she was expecting her first child. On 5 May 2020, Koel and Nispal’s first child Kabir was born.
After four years of embracing motherhood for the first time, Koel announced her second pregnancy a day after Mahalaya. The actress was seen embodying the role of Goddess Durga in ‘Ranang Dehi’ that was telecast on a leading channel on Bengali television.
