“I love theatre and literature a lot and coming from the creative arts background I wanted to perform for the audience making use of my craft. It was a solo act and I mostly sang and read out from poems. It was meant to be for 70 minutes but lasted 75 minutes,” the actor said.

When asked how he liked interacting with his audience online after long, the actor said that performing comes naturally to him and he tried to set a plan in place for the act. “I wanted to do the solo act in a theatre set up since I belong from there. So, I arranged some songs and poems planning what to start with and which one to end with. I set up lights with the help of emergency lights at home and tried my best to create the ambience and the stage,” he said.

It was a long set of songs by Kabir Suman and poems by

Jibananada Das

,

Buddhadeb Basu

and Surindranath Dutta. “I also read from

Nabarun

babu’s writings and from Rabindranath

Tagore

’s Raktakarabi,” said Anirban.
